BEL Invites Applications for Advisor Post in SCCS SBU at Ghaziabad Complex

New Delhi: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has invited applications for the position of Advisor for its Secure Communication & IT Systems (SCCS) Strategic Business Unit at the Ghaziabad Complex. The position seeks a retired senior defense officer, preferably of Air Vice Marshal rank or equivalent, with extensive experience in military communications and IT systems.

Eligibility and Expertise

The candidate should have a minimum of 20 years of experience in the military domain, including at least five years in Indian Air Force (IAF) Communication & IT Systems. Key areas of expertise required include:

Secure and tactical communication
Military doctrines and strategic planning
AI and quantum technology implementation
Satellite communication, cellular and space systems
Indigenization of defense systems
Defence procurement procedures and acquisition processes
Experience managing IAF projects executed by BEL

Candidates must have a B.E./B.Tech degree, preferably in electronics, with an upper age limit of 60 years (relaxation may be considered for deserving candidates).

Roles and Responsibilities

The Advisor will act as a domain expert in defense communication systems, providing strategic guidance, mentoring in-house R&D teams, and assisting in conceptualization and finalization of operational and functional system requirements. Liaison with the Indian Armed Forces to support current and futuristic secure communication systems will also be part of the role.

Terms, Remuneration, and Benefits

Engagement is initially for one year, extendable up to eight years or until the age of 68, based on business requirements.
Remuneration will be the last drawn pay at the time of superannuation, with potential annual increments of 5% and adjustments for relevant post-retirement experience.
Conveyance, TA/DA for official travel, and accommodation during official visits will be provided as per BEL norms.

Applications must include educational certificates, service experience, superannuation certificate, last drawn pay certificate, and a “No Objection Certificate” from the current employer, if applicable.
