New Delhi, 17 March 2026: In a significant step towards strengthening mine safety, Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) and MOIL Limited have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a further period of three years.

The renewed MoU ensures the continued provision of rescue affiliation and emergency cover to MOIL’s underground mines through WCL’s specialized Mines Rescue Services.

 

Focus on Safety and Emergency Preparedness

This collaboration plays a crucial role in maintaining high safety standards in underground mining operations. By extending the MoU, both organizations reaffirm their commitment to swift emergency response, risk mitigation, and operational excellence.

MoU Signed in Presence of Senior Leadership

The MoU was formally signed by Dinesh Bisen, General Manager (Safety & Rescue), on behalf of WCL, and Kishore Chandrakar, representing MOIL Ltd.

The signing took place in the presence of Anandji Prasad, Director (Technical – Operations), WCL.

Also present on the occasion were Anant Masade, along with Sachin Ramteke and Madhaw Mishra, reflecting strong institutional coordination between the two organizations.
