First Meeting of Bhubaneswar Metro Project Panel Focuses on Traffic Decongestion and Mobility Plan
Bhubaneswar Metro sub-committee held its first meeting to discuss a comprehensive mobility plan, public transport improvements, and traffic decongestion strategies.

Bhubaneswar: An inter-ministerial committee meeting for the Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Project took place today at Lok Seva Bhawan Conference Hall, chaired by Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo. A sub-committee was formed under the direction of Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi. The panel includes ministers such as Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment and Energy, Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, who serves as the chairman of the sub-committee.

The meeting focused on how to implement key aspects, coordinate between departments, and create a strong and efficient public transport system in Bhubaneswar city. It also covered the comprehensive mobility plan for reducing traffic congestion and the rail-road transition. Next steps will be taken regarding the Metro project, prioritizing the interests of the people and easing traffic. Discussions have taken place with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation CEO Kalyan Patnaik, Vikas Kumar, and Pramit Garg.
