Awadh Kishore Pandey recommended by PESB as Director at MCL

New Delhi: The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) has recommended the name for the post of Director (Technical/Projects & Planning) at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd. Shri Awadh Kishore Pandey, who is currently serving as General Manager at the Lakhanpur Area of Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. (MCL), has been appointed for the post.

Currently, Shri Sanjay Kumar Jha is serving as Director (Technical/Projects & Planning), Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd., and assumed the charge on 7th March 2025.

Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) is a major Indian coal-producing company and a subsidiary of Coal India Limited. Established in 1992, it is headquartered in Sambalpur, Odisha, and operates coal mines across the state, focusing on sustainable practices.

A total of 9 candidates were shortlisted for the interview. The officials hail from the reputed organizations like Central Coalfields Ltd, NLC India Ltd, Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd, Coal India Ltd, Hindustan Copper Ltd.
