Observance of Constitution Day 2021 at Durgapur Steel Plant

Durgapur. Durgapur Steel Plant, a unit of SAIL, joined the nation in observing Constitution Day on 26.11.2021. We know that Constitution Day is celebrated across India every year on 26th November to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. Hence Constitution Day is also known as the SAMVIDHAN DIVAS. The Constitution of India is the longest written constitution of any sovereign country in the world. It also aims to create awareness of Fundamental Duties as enshrined in the Constitution.
November 26, marks the day when India had adopted its Constitution in 1949. The observance at DSP started with reading out of the ‘Preamble’ to the Constitution by the senior officials and cross section of employees in different departments, offices & shop floors areas inside and outside the plant areas of DSP thereby maintaining the COVID 19 protocol under the pandemic situation. Apart from the reading out of the Preamble, an online quiz on “Indian Constitution” and elocution by the school student were also organized.
