8th Meeting of Japan-India JWG; discussed collaboration of road and highway development
The two sides discussed collaboration in the field of road development, highway administration and monitoring.
New Delhi: The 8th Meeting of the Japan-India Joint Working Group (JWG) was held at Transport Bhawan, New Delhi. The two sides discussed collaboration in the field of road development, highway administration and monitoring.
The meeting was attended by Secretary MoRTH Smt Alka Upadhyaya. Additional Secretary MoRTH Shri Amit Kumar Ghosh and Deputy Director-General, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism from Japan Shri Homare Kubota, besides senior officials.
The JWG was established under the Framework of Cooperation (FoC) between MoRTH, the Government of India and MLIT of Japan in September 2014, to coordinate and prepare a work plan for the implementation of the FoC.
