MCL Dispatches 2500 Tarpolin to Fani-affected Puri
Sambalpur: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, today despatched 2500 tarpolin to Fani-hit Puri for relief operations.
The truck was flagged off by Shri M G Brahmapurkar, Area General Manager, Jagnnath Area in Talcher Coalfields to hand over 2500 tarpolin of 15'x12' size to the Collector, Puri for Fani relief. Mr Ugrasen Pradhan, Driver, took the responsibility for transportation of tarpolin to Puri.
This was second initiative of Jaganntha provide succor to the fani-affected people in Puri. Earlier on 9th May, 2019, two trucks carrying relief packets containing glucose, chuda, mudhi, ORS, candles, match boxes, mixture, jaggery, milk and biscuits, were sent to Puri district for the victims of Fani cyclone.
Shri Jagabandhu Behera, Sr. Manager (Personnel) Jagannath Colliery, Shri Killi Prasad, Deputy Manager (Personnel), Shri B D Nayak, Depot Officer, Shri Kaibalya Behera, Assistant Manager (Finance) were prominent among members of a special team of Jagannath Area undertaking relief work.
In view of entire Puri facing power shut down following Fani landfall, 200 solar lamps purchased by employees here at MCL (HQs) were handed over to the emergency office of the Collector, Puri.
