MS unit organizes IT awareness training program in PFC
Gurgaon: MS Unit organized the IT Awareness Training Program from 18 to 24 Dec 2019 in PFC premises for all employees and staff in PFC and PFCCL. This was to create awareness and sensitivity among the users about inculcating best IT practices in day to day work.
The program was conducted by qualified and experienced faculty from M/s MDI, Gurgaon. Dr. N.P. Singh & Dr. Nakul Gupta took the training sessions together in different batches.
The major IT aspects covered in the IT Awareness Trainings were:
a) Cyber Security
b) Data Privacy
c) Understanding Threats and Preventing threats
d) Password Management
e) Social Engineering
f) Securing Workstations
g) Data Backups
h) E-Waste Disposal
i) Access Rights
j) Incident Response
k) Awareness about PFC’s IT Policies
In view of the ever growing threat landscape, it becomes critically important for each PFC user to be aware of the basic IT practices to be followed in daily routine to work in more secure manner. It is also important for the users to enhance their IT savviness to utilize the IT resources like PCs, printers, MS Office, Outlook Email, Internet etc. in more prudent manner. Through such trainings, the probability of occurrence of security incidences can be greatly reduced and the efficiency of IT system usage can also be improved.
