AAI, Kolkata airport operates solar-powered electricity
New Delhi: Airport Authority of India's Kolkata Airport has bee using solar-powered electricity for the operation of its 2.4 lac Sq.mt. terminal building in 2017 with the motto of Clean India Green India and to re-emphasize its commitment towards energy saving campaign.
This airport has been using this solar energy since then and also adopted the latest energy-efficient equipment like green chillers & LED lighting while designing the new integrated terminal building NITB.
The 15MWp solar PV plant is the largest plant inside operational area of any Airport in the country.
