Ambassador of Lvory Coast visited NRDC
New Delhi: Mr. Sainy Tiemele, Ambassador Embassy of the Republic of Cote d Ivoire (Ivory Coast) visited National Research Development Corporation DC to explore the possibilities of technical co-operation between NRDC and Ivory Coast.
Team NRDC welcomed the Embassy Team and Dr. H. Purushotham, Chairman & Managing Director of NRDC explained the possible pathways for cooperation and stated that NRDC can help Cote d Ivoire in setting up of Pilot/Demonstration Plant for processing of Cashew nuts using Advanced Technology as Cote d Ivoire is the largest producer of Cashew nuts in Africa. Senior officials from NRDC participated in the deliberations. H.E. Mr. Sainy Tiemele said that Cote d Ivoire Govt. is very much interested in establishing the Cashew processing Pilot/Demonstration Plant as this will help them to develop the required skills in the local youth and development of SME’s sector. He has informed that their Govt. will invite NRDC Team to Cote d Ivoire during September 2018 for further discussions and finalising the Detailed Project Report.
In 2008-09 NRDC established the Centre for Demonstration and Promotion of Technologies (CDT) in Cote d Ivoire with the Financial Assistance from Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India, which has created large number of SME’s in the Cote d Ivoire.
