Who is Amit Misra? Railway Board Officer Gets Key Vigilance Role at CONCOR
Shri Amit Misra IRSSE has been appointed as the part time Chief Vigilance Officer of Container Corporation of India Ltd CONCOR New Delhi on additional charge basis

New Delhi, August 19, 2025: The Ministry of Railways has approved the appointment of Shri Amit Misra, Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE), as the part-time Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR), New Delhi. He will take on this role in addition to his current duties.
Mr. Misra was born on December 31, 1976. He joined the Indian Railways on September 2, 2002. He is currently the Executive Director (Signal & Telecommunication) at the Railway Board. With his extensive experience in railway operations and technical leadership, he is expected to strengthen the vigilance framework at CONCOR.

This assignment will last for an initial period of three years from the date he takes on the role, or until further orders, whichever comes first. The Ministry also directed that details about his taking charge be sent to the Railway Board for submission to the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).
CONCOR, a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Railways, plays an important role in India’s logistics and containerized cargo movement. The Chief Vigilance Officer position is vital for ensuring transparency, accountability, and ethical practices in its operations.
Officials from the Railway Board, including senior officers and advisors, have been informed about the appointment.
With this new role, Shri Amit Misra will now have the dual responsibility of his position at the Railway Board and of overseeing vigilance at CONCOR.
