BEL Corporate Office celebrates Hindi Day
New Delhi: The need to promote Hindi as the language of science and technology was emphasised at the Hindi day function organised by the Corporate Office of Navaratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL).
Inaugurating the event, Mr Sanjeev Gupta, Scientist 'G', CAIR-DRDO, the chief guest, opined that Hindi, a language spoken widely across the nation, had always been a great medium to gain knowledge. The time had come to “make earnest efforts to make Hindi the language of science and technology”, he said. Revisiting the status of Hindi in India and abroad, Mr Sanjeev Gupta observed that the usage of Hindi and the number of Hindi speaking people across world was steadily increasing.
Mr Koshy Alexander, Director (Finance), BEL, read out the Hon’ble Home Minister's message while Mr Manoj Yadav, Sr DGM (MS)/BEL-Corporate Office, read out the Hon’ble Defence Minister's message on the occasion. Mr Shrikant Walgad, IAS, Chief Vigilance Officer, BEL, Mrs Hema G Acharya, GM (Internal Audit)/BEL-Corporate Office, and Mr Vikraman N, GM (HR)/BEL-Corporate Office, were present as guests. The programme was compered by Mr Shrinivas Rao, Officer (OL)/BEL-CO, and Mrs Rajani Shaw, Sr Assistant Officer (OL)/BEL-CO.
