BEML observes Swachhta Pakhwada
Various programs such as seminars, essay writing & drawing competition on the subject of cleanliness were organized for all employees, their spouses, and children during this fortnight
Bangalore: As a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan or Clean India Mission, the country-wide campaign initiated by the Government of India (GoI) for nationwide cleanliness, BEML LIMITED, a Schedule ‘A’ Company under the Ministry of Defence, GoI, observed a fortnight-long ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ program from 1st to 15th Dec. 2020all across its units for creating and spreading awareness about cleanliness.
On this occasion, Swachhta Pledge was also administered for encouraging the observance of cleanliness by individuals.
During this fortnight, disposing of scrap materials; cleanliness drive at the public places, township; weeding out of old files & old equipment; plantation of tree saplings, fumigation, disposal of e-waste, clearing drainage, etc. were undertaken.
To spread awareness about cleanliness, posters and banners were displayed at various strategic locations in and around factory complexes and residential townships.
Various programs such as seminars, essay writing & drawing competition on the subject of cleanliness were organized for all employees, their spouses, and children during this fortnight.
At the valedictory program on 15th Dec, 2020 prizes were distributed to the winners of the respective category of essay writing and painting competition.
