Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited Awards Major EPC Contract to Power Mech Projects

New Delhi, October 15, 2025: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) , a domestic entity, has awarded a massive Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract to Power Mech Projects Limited. The order is for the balance of plants (BOP) package for the 1×800 MW Singareni Super Thermal Power Project, Stage - II, in Mancherial, Telangana.

The significant contract is valued at over Rs 2,500 crore (Rupees Two thousand five hundred crore), exclusive of GST.

Project Location: 1×800 MW Singareni Super Thermal Power Project, Stage - II, Mancherial, Telangana.

Nature of Order: EPC package for balance of plants (BOP).

Execution Timeline: The contract is to be executed within 38 months from the date of the start of work.

The scope, defined for the BALANCE OF PLANTS (BOP) package, includes a comprehensive range of services, establishing a single point of responsibility for Power Mech Projects Limited.

The work entails:

• Design, engineering, manufacturing, inspection, and testing.
• Supply/delivery, transportation, receipt, unloading, storage, security, and handling at the project site.
• Complete civil & structural works, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and final painting.
• Trial run, PG Test, and handing over of the facilities.
• Annual maintenance until handover, as well as Training, Guarantee, Warranty, and the Defect Liability Period.
