Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited Awards Major EPC Contract to Power Mech Projects
The significant contract is valued at over Rs 2,500 crore (Rupees Two thousand five hundred crore), exclusive of GST.
New Delhi, October 15, 2025: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) , a domestic entity, has awarded a massive Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract to Power Mech Projects Limited. The order is for the balance of plants (BOP) package for the 1×800 MW Singareni Super Thermal Power Project, Stage - II, in Mancherial, Telangana.

Project Location: 1×800 MW Singareni Super Thermal Power Project, Stage - II, Mancherial, Telangana.
Nature of Order: EPC package for balance of plants (BOP).
Execution Timeline: The contract is to be executed within 38 months from the date of the start of work.

The work entails:
- Design, engineering, manufacturing, inspection, and testing.
- Supply/delivery, transportation, receipt, unloading, storage, security, and handling at the project site.
- Complete civil & structural works, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and final painting.
- Trial run, PG Test, and handing over of the facilities.
- Annual maintenance until handover, as well as Training, Guarantee, Warranty, and the Defect Liability Period.
