Buildings above 150 metres in Amaravati need AAI nod
VIJAYAWADA . AP-Capital Region Development Authority (AP-CRDA) Commissioner Cherukuri Sreedhar stated in a press release that constructions exceeding 150 metres (equals 40 floors) above the Mean Sea Level (MSL) in Amaravati require the permission of the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
No Objection Certificates (NOCs) have to be compulsorily obtained from the AAI for constructions that surpass the given height to ensure the safety of flight operations at Gannavaram airport.
The AAI gives NOCs on the basis of its Colour-Coded Zoning Maps (CCZM) and the CRDA has been allowed to clear constructions above the MSL but below 150 metres. Thehindu
