Call for Aerospace Manufacturing Policy for India
NEW DELHI: Dr. R.K. Tyagi, former chairman HAL and mentor – director Defence Innovators and industry Association (DIIA) called for a further effective Aerospace manufacturing policy for India.
He was speaking on the occasion of national seminar organized by CII and Indian Air force jointly at New Delhi on 23rd may 2017 on the theme ‘MAKE in INDIA for Indian Air force.’
Dr. Tyagi was happy to note that already more than 150 Indian SME’s are now part of global supply chain. He also called upon Ministry of Defence to now start work on development of regional Civil Aircraft (MOD responsibility now as per allocation of business rules of GOI) to give boost to the PM’s vision of Make – in – India in Aerospace and defence sector.
