New Delhi: The government-owned coal mining company, Coal India Limited reported a coal production above 622 million tonnes in financial year 21-22 is targeting a heavy and good amount of coal in FY23.
Seeking the growing and challenging demand for Coal in the country the company is targeting to produce 700 million tonnes during FY-23, CIL Chairman, Pramod Agrawal said in an interview with the business line.
This is a challenging target but the company is pushing more to achieve the target as the company in FY 22 produces 622.6 million tonnes reported an increase of 27.4 million tonnes compared with FY21, a 4.4 percent increase in annual growth.
In FY 2020-21, coal production stood at 595.2 million tonnes (MT).
