CIL signed MoU to establish an Oxygen Plant at District Hospital, Jamshedpur
CIL is extending support of Rs 65 lakhs for the plant.
Jharkhand: Coal India Limited has signed an MoU with the District Administration of East Singhbhum in Jharkhand to establish an Oxygen Plant at District Hospital, Jamshedpur, in a new CSR initiative, to help provide much needed medical oxygen to fight the COVID pandemic.
As a part of “Mission Praana Vayu”, the Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) plant at District Hospital, Jamshedpur will have the capacity to generate 250 litres of oxygen per minute and will cater to 115 ICU beds. CIL is extending support of Rs 65 lakhs for the plant.
CIL and its subsidiary companies are providing 29 oxygen generation plants with a total capacity to generate 35,000 litres of oxygen per minute catering to 5100 beds in 27 hospitals across six states in India.
