Closing ceremony of hindi week held at South Eastern Coalfields Ltd
New Delhi: Closing ceremony of 'Hindi week' held at South Eastern Coalfields Ltd, Bhopal office on 21 September 2020 Chief Guest Pro 0 K. G. Suresh, Vice Chancellor, Makhanlal Chaturvedi concluded in the prestigious presence of National Journalism and Communication University. This was the first formal program of Mr. Suresh after taking the post of Vice Chancellor.
Report submitted on the status of Official Language Policy Implementation in the office by Mrs. Aaba Vishwakarma. Later, Mr. Manoj Mishra, overseas executive, SECL, presiding over the program, highlighted the activities of the office in his address, saying that as a result of the assurance given to the parliamentary official language, percent of corresponding and internal work in the office is being done in Hindi only. Chief Guest Pro 0 K. G. Suresh said in his address that there is a lot of work in Hindi in government institutions. Everyone should start thinking in Hindi, work in Hindi with self-inspiration, then the need of Hindi officer and Hindi department in the institute will be finished. He said that by giving respect to all Indian languages Hindi will also get the expected respect. He advised that all Hindi speakers should learn at least one other Indian language. Including regional languages words instead of taking support of English for suitable word selection in Hindi will increase the importance of all languages. The National Education Policy must end the inferiority of Hindi and the use of Hindi in the industrial, commercial and judicial sector.
