New Delhi: Shri Yatish Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director, Braithwaite & Co. Ltd attended a session on “Turning Around with Make in India” organized by the Merchants' Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at the Chamber’s conference hall.
Shri Yatish Kumar said that Braithwaite, which was a sick unit until 2017 had made an enormous turnaround and was generating resources which were acting as a dividend to the National economy.
He said Braithwaite’s aggressive manufacturing, servicing, foraying into new sectors and striking synergy with every new vertical turned Braithwaite from a sick company to a strategic unit. Our order book position has improved from around Rs 600 crore in 2017-18 to close to Rs 3,100 crore during the current fiscal. We hope to touch a turnover of Rs 2,500 crore by 2024-25 and then we will look to go for an IPO.
Shri Lavesh Poddar, chairman of logistics, transport and shipping, gave the vote of thanks. He said Braithwaite worked with clarity and it gave a lot of impetus to the logistics sector.
