CMD, NLCIL, Prasanna Kumar Motupalli Inaugurates Free Bus Services for School and College Students
The Neyveli Arch Gate and Mandarakuppam are the two chief transit points for hundreds of students from surrounding villages studying in the schools and a college of Neyveli township.
Bringing into reality the announcement made by CMD, NLCIL during the Independence Day celebrations, the free bus services for the school and college students of Neyveli was inaugurated today.
During his address in the Independence Day celebration on 15.08.24, CMD, NLCIL, had made a special announcement that free bus services from Arch Gate and Mandarakuppam will be provided to all students of Neyveli schools. The Neyveli Arch Gate and Mandarakuppam are the two chief transit points for hundreds of students from surrounding villages studying in the schools and a college of Neyveli township.
These students travel by NLCIL buses from Arch Gate and Mandarakuppam to their respective schools and college. Now, these NLCIL bus services have been made free for them relieving the burden of their routine transport expenses.

NLCIL CMD, Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, inaugurated the free bus services in the presence of Director (HR), NLCIL, Shri Samir Swarup and the Motor Vehicle Inspector of Neyveli Shri Francis.
Senior officials of NLCIL, representatives of recognised Trade Unions Tho. Mu. Sa, Anna Tho. Mu. Sa, SC/ST Federations, members of OBC, EA & GEA Associations, 150 school children, Headmasters/Headmistresses and teachers participated in the function.
Shri Prabhakaran, DGM, Education Department, NLCIL, co-ordinated the event and welcomed the gathering.

The free bus services for these students is an endeavour to provide better facilities for the students who are coming from surrounding villages to the schools in Neyveli Township.
As part of “Our Town, Our People, Our Services” announced by him, CMD, NLCIL, expressed his hope that this free bus service would be useful and would benefit about 2000 students on regular basis.
This vital initiative is a major stride towards ensuring that every child has the opportunity to pursue education without barriers.
