New Delhi: The Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 witnessed a key diplomatic and industry engagement on Saturday with the convening of the India–Africa Strategic Partnership Meet, aimed at strengthening cooperation across the power sector.

The forum focused on translating shared ambitions into actionable outcomes across the electricity value chain, including generation, transmission, renewable energy integration, storage, and distribution, through policy discussions and investment dialogues.

High-Level Participation

The session was attended by Union Minister for Power and Housing & Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar, Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy Shripad Yesso Naik, and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.

Also present was Jitendra Srivastava, along with ambassadors, high commissioners, and representatives from global institutions such as World Bank Group and Africa50.

Delegates from multiple African nations and key stakeholders from the energy sector also participated in the discussions.

The meeting highlighted the growing importance of India–Africa collaboration in the energy sector, particularly in advancing sustainable and reliable electricity infrastructure.
