CMPDI sign agreement with Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra, Hazaribag

New Delhi: CMPDI signed an MoA with Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra, Hazaribag on 08.12.2023 to provide a "Mobile Eye Care Van" equipped with all necessary eye health equipment to NBJK for facilitating comprehensive primary eye care services primarily in remote villages of Ranchi, Ramgarh and Hazaribag district of Jharkhand and striving towards making Jharkhand free of preventable blindness.

Shri R.K. Mahapatra, General Manager (CSR) from CMPDI and Shri Satish Girja, Secretary from NBJK signed the MoA in the presence of the CMPDI team and NBJK members. A Mobile van equipped with health care equipment costs Rs. 34.816 lakhs. This is the first project being taken up by CMPDIL for facilitating door-step eye care facilities for people in remote villages.

Mobile Eye Care Van will be used to provide:

1. Comprehensive eye care services at the doorstep in Rural areas of Ranchi.
2. To organize free eye screening camps every year to provide free primary, preventive, diagnostic and referral eye health services at the doorstep of patients with refractive errors, cataract blindness and other eye diseases.
3. To raise awareness in villages about eye health, common diseases, timely diagnosis and treatment to protect eyes in the target areas.
