Coal India Chairman inaugurates seed ball machine at Barora Area, BCCL
New Delhi: Shri P. M. Prasad, Chairman, CoalIndia, inaugurated a seed ball machine at the Barora Area of Coal India subsidiary, BCCL. Shri Samiran Dutta, CMD BCCL was present on the occasion.
Coal India subsidiary BCCL is utilising seed ball technology in overburden dumps and mined-out areas to establish a natural ecosystem. Fruit trees such as Guava, Amla, Jamun, Papaya, Fig, Kaju, and Ber, as well as native trees like Neem, Mohuguni, Moringa, Karanj, Peepal, Bargad, Shisham, Molshree, Babul, Rakt Sinduri, Kher, and Bamboo, would be grown using nearly one crore seed balls.
