Coal Secy rules out coal target revision for CIL
ANGUL: THE Union Coal Secretary, Susheel Kumar ruled out downward revision of the coal production target set at 1000 million tonne (MT) for Coal India Limited (CIL) in 2020. He refuted that there is a slump in coal demand. “There is no question of revising the target to produce one billion tonne by the end of 2020 by CIL,” he said on Thursday.
Speaking to mediapersons here after visiting Talcher coalfield, which is witnessing a negative growth due to land problems, Kumar said the power sector is growing at six per cent MCL CMD, Anil Kumar Jha, Directors JP Singh, KK Parida, LN Mishra and UP Singh and general manager of Jagannath area, RP Gupta were present.
