New Delhi: Ministry of Jal Shakti plans to undertake “Conference with States” on the theme Water Security which identifies 3 focus areas viz. Water Use Efficiency & Governance; Water Conservation; and River Conservation & Rejuvenation.
Secretary DoWR, RD&GR, Ministry of Jal Shakti took a meeting of seniors officials of Department/Ministry on 30th Nov-2021
Further for discussions & deliberations on the sub-theme Water Use Efficiency and Governance in order to develop a concept paper, a meeting is scheduled with a few States on 28th Dec 2021 on the sub-theme Water Use Efficiency & Governance.
Government efforts through continuous interventions for supply-side management, demand-side management by the citizens in the agriculture-on farm, household, industries, public utilities, and further recycle reuse of wastewater can help in achieving Water Security for the future. Suggestions and best practices in this context are most welcome to save the natural resource Water for tomorrow.
