Shipping Corporation of India Appoints R. Lakshmanan as Government Nominee Director
The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways approved the nomination of Shri R. Lakshmanan, Joint Secretary, as a new part-time Government Nominee Director on the Board of SCI.
Mumbai, November 4, 2025. The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. (SCI), a Navratna Company and a Government of India enterprise, announced a change in its Board of Directors.
The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways approved the nomination of Shri R. Lakshmanan, Joint Secretary, as a new part-time Government Nominee Director on the Board of SCI.

He replaces Shri Venkatesapathy S., Joint Secretary, who is no longer the part-time Government Nominee Director on the SCI Board as of the same date.
The company is completing the necessary formalities to welcome Shri R. Lakshmanan.
