Shipping Corporation of India Appoints R. Lakshmanan as Government Nominee Director
The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways approved the nomination of Shri R. Lakshmanan, Joint Secretary, as a new part-time Government Nominee Director on the Board of SCI.
Mumbai, November 4, 2025. The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. (SCI), a Navratna Company and a Government of India enterprise, announced a change in its Board of Directors.
The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways approved the nomination of Shri R. Lakshmanan, Joint Secretary, as a new part-time Government Nominee Director on the Board of SCI.
Shri R. Lakshmanan's appointment takes effect immediately from November 4, 2025. He replaces Shri Venkatesapathy S., Joint Secretary, who is no longer the part-time Government Nominee Director on the SCI Board as of the same date.
The company is completing the necessary formalities to welcome Shri R. Lakshmanan.
