NLC India has received LoI for two Vanadium-Titanium blocks in Telangana and incorporated a new 51:49 joint venture with OREDA for green energy projects on 31 August 2026.

New Delhi: NLC India Limited has informed the stock exchanges of two significant developments on 31 August 2026.

1. Letter of Intent for Critical Mineral Blocks

NLC India Limited has received the Letter of Intent (LoI) from the Government of Telangana for grant of Composite Licence for two critical mineral blocks:

  • Govindpur Vanadium, Titanium & Aluminous Laterite Block

  • Parvathapur Vanadium, Titanium & Aluminous Laterite Block

Both blocks are located in Sanga Reddy district, Telangana.

NLCIL had emerged as the Preferred Bidder for these blocks in the 7th Tranche of Critical and Strategic Mineral auction conducted by the Ministry of Mines, Government of India.

2. New Joint Venture for Green Energy

NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NLC India Limited, has incorporated a Joint Venture Company with the Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA).

  • Name of the JV: NIRL OREDA RENEWABLES LIMITED

  • Equity Participation: 51:49 (NIRL : OREDA)

  • Purpose: Setting up Green Energy Power Plant(s)

  • Certificate of Incorporation: Issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on 31 August 2026

Both developments mark NLC India’s continued expansion into critical minerals and renewable energy.
