Covid 19 Vaccination drive started at VSGH-RINL
"Covishield" Vaccine by Serum Institute of India has been supplied to VSGH for 1st batch of beneficiaries (200 HCWs) for today. A dry run was conducted a few days back. A total No. of 600 front-line Covid warriors will be covered.
Andhra Pradesh: Covid 19 Vaccination drive started at RINL, today. Shri Deb Kumar Mohanthy, Director (Commercial), RINL-Vizag Steel, inaugurated the two-session sites at Main Burns Unit premises of Visakha Steel General Hospital (VSGH), RINL at Ukkunagaram, Visakhapatnam, AP.
He appreciated the efforts of Dr. K H Prakash, CGM (Medical), and his team and for successfully advocating with Govt. of AP in getting the vaccination site sanctioned to VSGH & the required number of Vaccine doses to cover all the front line Covid warriors. He also advised the Medical Staff in charge of Vaccination to take all post-vaccination precautions advised by Govt. of India.

Vaccination activity began at 9 am and continued till 5 pm. The remaining HCWs will be administered their 1st dose of Vaccine on the 28th 29th of Jan.2021. Subsequently, 2nd dose of the same will be given to all the above beneficiaries after the 28th day.
All the Medical GMs, senior doctors, Covid Surveillance & Nodal officer of VSGH, and Civil Asst. Surgeons of Dewada PHC were present at the inaugural ceremony.
