Boundary wall falls on Delhi Metro Coach at Violet Line, Services Stopped for the People
New Delhi: Delhi Metro’s Violet line services has stopped due to rain, on Thursday evening a boundary wall fell on a coach of the metro, the accident took place near Lajpat Nagar. No injuries have been reported, yet. The route near Lajpat Nagar has been blocked.
Hundreds of passengers were stranded inside the Metro. According to a Metro official, the railing fell between Jangpura and Lajpat Nagar metro stations due to the heavy winds and rain in the afternoon, and services are being run in two loops – Nehru Place to Escorts Mujesar; and Central Secretariat to Kashmere Gate, till the railing is removed.
DMRC didn't explain how the wall fell on the train.
