Director (Projects), NHPC visits 2880 MW Dibang Multipurpose Project
During the visit of dignitaries, Deputy Commissioner, Lower Dibang Valley, Smt. Soumya Saurabh, IAS was also present and gave her valuable suggestion on CSR activities to be taken up by Dibang Multipurpose Project.

Arunachal Pradesh: Shri Biswajit Basu, Director (Projects), NHPC alongwith Independent Directors, Dr. Uday Sakharam Nirgudkar, Prof. (Dr.) Amit Kansal, Dr. Rashmi Sharma Rawal, and Shri Jiji Joseph visited Roing Headquarters of 2880 MW Diabng Multipurpose Project on 8th April 2022, and interacted with Senior Officers of the Project. The dignitaries also visited ITI, Roing, and appreciated the initiatives taken up by NHPC for skill development programmes.
The dignitaries were apprised on the current status of Land Acquisition, Ongoing Works, and Planning for CSR Activities by Shri Janesh Sahni, Head of the Project. Director (Projects) & Independent Directors appreciated the efforts of the NHPC employees. During the visit of dignitaries, Deputy Commissioner, Lower Dibang Valley, Smt. Soumya Saurabh, IAS was also present and gave her valuable suggestion on CSR activities to be taken up by Dibang Multipurpose Project.
Dibang Multipurpose Project is a hydropower cum flood moderation scheme proposed on the Dibang River in Lower Dibang Valley District of Arunachal Pradesh. The Dam site is located about 1.5 km upstream of the confluence of Ashu Pani and Dibang rivers and about 43 km from Roing, District Headquarter. The project would moderate flood in the areas downstream of the Dibang Dam during the entire monsoon period to the extent of 3000 cumecs.
