ECL signs it's first MDO contract with Montecarlo Hura Mining
The contract agreement was signed by Sri R C Mohapatra, GM Rajmahal Area on behalf of ECL.

New Delhi: Eastern Coalfields Limited (A subsidiary of Coal India), signs its first MDO contract with the mine operator M/s Montecarlo Hura Mining Private Limited for Hura C OCP of Rajmahal Area on 22.11.2022 at ECL HQ. The project envisages the extraction of coal to the tune of 63.75 MT over a contract period of 25 years. The tender process for the work was finalised in a record time of two and a half months.
The contract agreement was signed by Sri R C Mohapatra, GM Rajmahal Area on behalf of ECL.
During the ceremony, CMD ECL underlined that the execution of this project will be a game changer for the Rajmahal area in particular and ECL as a whole for its turnaround. This will also pave the way for other similar upcoming MDO projects (OC + UG) in ECL.
The auspicious ceremony of agreement signing was attended by Sri A P Panda, CMD, ECL, Sri JP Gupta, Director (Technical), Md. Anzar Alam, Director (Finance) Smt. Ahuti Swain, Director (Personnel)
