Environment Day Celebrations at NRHQ
LUCKNOW: NTPC-NRHQ, Lucknow celebrated the world environment day with great zeal and enthusiasm.
On this day NRHQ distributed and planted 300 saplings at Govt. Primary School, Jagmohan Purva, Gosaiganj in association with I-Care an NGO.
Shri R S Rathi, RED(North) and Smt Sunita Rathi, President of Uttra Mahila Mandal, Shri Shivanand, Zonal Education Officer, Shri Ram Prasad, Gram Pradhan and senior officials of NTPC-NRHQ graced the occasion.
Shri. R S Rathi, RED(North) along with all employees of NTPC-NR planted saplings at office and also inaugurated 50 KV solar plant which has 160 Nos. of Solar panel/modules, each of capacity 315 Watt. The panels are installed on the roof of the building for harnessing solar radiation. This solar plant when operated will save approx. Rs. 5 lakh per year of electricity. On this occasion a film on solid waste Management System of Karsara, Varanasi titled, ”NTPC ka Pryas Swatchh Paryavaran – Behtar Vikas” was also released.
NTPC has restarted the Waste Management plant of Varanasi.
