Govt will not privatise Navratna CPSE NALCO
This decision has been announced by Union Education Minister, who expressed support for contract workers at NALCO.

New Delhi: The Indian government has decided not to privatize the National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Schedule 'A' Navratna CPSE. Union Education Miniter Shri Dharmendra Pradhan said while speaking at the silver jubilee celebration of NALCO mazdoor sangh at Angul.
This decision has been announced by Union Education Minister, who expressed support for contract workers at NALCO.

He said we have a great potential to further develop our mineral-rich region. Sometimes workers and revenue of the state and country are being lost due to agitation here. "It is my firm belief that only under the collective leadership of the right workers will the development of NALCO and the development of the local area be accelerated."

So Nalco management has to take responsibility for their welfare. Nalcor suggested hiring more teachers in schools and giving due respect to the workers' welfare and other demands.
