Gurdeep Singh Reappointed as CMD of NTPC for One Year
Gurdeep Singh has been reappointed as NTPC CMD on a one-year contract beyond superannuation starting August 1, 2025.
New Delhi: The Government of India has approved the Ministry of Power's proposal to rehire Shri Gurdeep Singh as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NTPC Limited. He will serve on a contract basis for one year after his retirement date, starting August 1, 2025, or until a regular successor takes over, or until further notice, whichever comes first.

The Ministry of Power will finalize the terms and conditions of his re-employment in consultation with the Department of Public Enterprises.
