HPERC Chairman D.K. Sharma honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award by Indian Concrete Institute 

Shimla.  Shri D.K. Sharma, Chairman, Himachal Pradesh Regulatory Commission was honoured with Lifetime achievement award by Indian Concrete Institute here today for his outstanding contribution in building hydro power projects in India and abroad. Formerly Chairman of Bhakra Beas Management Board, BBMB, Sharma is also Member National Security Advisory Board, Government of India and also Vice President of International Commission on Large Dams, Paris. The award was presented by VPS Jaswal, Chairman of Indian Concrete Institute, Shimla Centre and Vybhav Gupta, Regional Head, Ultratech Cement.

SJVN’s corporate office building at Shimla bagged the ‘Best Built Infrastructure Project award 2021’ for its ideal and green sustainable design. The award for providing guidance for this unique building construction was conferred upon CMD of the company, The Award was received by S.P. Bansal, Director Civil of SJVN.

 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station of SJVN in Himachal Pradesh was given the Award as Best Serviceable Infrastructure Projects. The hydro power station, was selected as a unique hydro power station being operated in tandem with upstream 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station of the company. SJVN’s Director- in -Charge Sushil Kumar Sharma, Director (Electrical), was honored for this award.

In the category of ‘Outstanding Concrete Technologists, the award was presented to S. P. Bansal , Director (Civil), of SJVN. In the category of ‘Excellence in Technical Education’  Dr S P Guleria, Director cum Principal, Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Engineering College, Sundernagar was honored.

R L Negi, Chief G M  of Luhri Hydro Power project and Jangi Thopan power project in Himachal Pradesh was honored with Excellence Young Concrete Technologists Award.
