India collaborating with world energy leaders
Mr Hardeep Singh Puri attended the plenary session of Gastech Milan 2022.
New Delhi: Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas & MoHUA inaugurated the GAIL stall at the Gastech Event at Milan, Italy in august presence of Indian Ambassador to Italy, Director (Finance) GAIL, CMD IOCL, and MD Petronet LNG.
Mr Hardeep Singh Puri attended the plenary session of Gastech Milan 2022. Also met Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Manlio Di Stefano on the sidelines of the event and discussed issues of mutual interest and co-operation.
He said, Underscored the strong efforts being undertaken by India through 99% reduction in no-go areas, ease of access of data through National Data Repository etc.
With 93% of India’s sedimentary basin available for exploration & the fastest growing energy demand in the world, welcomed Chevron to benefit from these opportunities, he added.
He also highlighted the immense investment of USD 60 Bn towards gas infrastructure, India's increase of LNG import terminal Regassification capacity from 21.7 MMTPA in 2014 to 42.7 MMTPA in 2022, increase in gas pipeline network from 14,700 km in 2014 to over 22000 km.
