IndianOil Bestowed with Diamond Haryana CSR Award
Gurugram: Shri B V Rama Gopal, Director (Refineries), IndianOil received the Diamond Haryana CSR Award for IndianOil from Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, CM of Haryana in recognition of its sterling role in Corporate Social Responsibility in the State. The award was conferred during Haryana CSR Summit 2018 in Gurugram. IndianOil has invested in more than 50 major CSR projects worth Rs. 10.38 crore benefiting more than 4.5 lakh people of the State in the fiscal year 2017-18. IndianOil has also been in the forefront in supporting various national campaigns like Skill India, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao in the State. One such mega CSR project has been the construction of multiple public amenities under the Elevated Corridor Highway by Panipat Refinery, which was highly appreciated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana.
For fiscal 2018-19, IndianOil has planned around 40 CSR projects worth Rs. 16.8 crore in Haryana. These projects include Skill Development programmes in partnership with National Skill Development Corporation of India (NSDC) for enhancing the vocational skills of youths of Haryana. The aim is to make the youth self-reliant in new skills so that they can find employment or run self-enterprises. Another important project for the current fiscal is to empower the Divyangjans along with M/s ALIMCO. IndianOil through its Refineries Division has also introduced academic scholarship Gyanodaya on the merit-cum-means basis in 4 Govt. Institutes (2 Govt. ITIs & 2 Govt. Polytechnics).
