IndianOil refineries are reusing around 80 90 percent of the treated effluent in their operations
New Delhi. Mr. Sanjiv Singh, Director (Refineries), in his message to IOCians on the occasion of Productivity Week-2017 spoke about the ‘Green Agenda' of the Refineries Division, "IndianOil refineries have the state-of-the-art effluent treatment technologies, which comply with the most stringent environmental standards in place.
Mr. Sanjiv Singh said , It is a matter of achievement that our refineries are reusing around 80-90% of the treated effluent in their operations. Many refineries are working on the concept of Zero Liquid Discharge i.e. ZLD. Mathura Refinery has committed itself to use treated effluent from STP for its refinery operations, thereby conserving fresh water usage from the Yamuna."
Mr. AK Chowdhury, Executive Director (Human Resource), RHQ, administered the 'Productivity Pledge' and unveiled a poster created on the theme of celebrations, ‘From Waste to Profits through Reduce, Recycle and Reuse’. Mr. Chowdhury congratulated Team Refineries HQs for winning the TPM Excellence Award recently, and said that the theme for Productivity Week was in sync with the sustained efforts undertaken by various teams at RHQ, to create value and enhance profits by reducing wastage of precious resources.
Mr NK Das, GM (HR), shared about the various activities being organized during Productivity Week for various stakeholders, aimed at reaffirming IndianOil’s commitment to work for higher productivity and sustainable processes & growth.
