Industry academia interactive meet at Braithwaite
New Delhi: Industry academia interactive meet at Braithwaite on World Engineering Day on 4th March 2020. As a part of 1st World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development, a group of Students and Faculty member from Techno India Engineering College, Batanagar Campus and group of professionals from different Industries led by Institution of Engineers (I), West Bengal State Centre visited Braithwaite & Company on 4th March 2020.
The visit was first at Victoria works where they were demonstrated the production activities of different wagons and products being manufactured and the production processes by the team of Engineers led by Mr A K Shahi, Works Manager. Following that the team visited the Corporate Office of Braithwaite and different departments. In the Conference room, the team was greeted by Mr Salim G Purushothaman, Director(Production) and other senior Officials .Movie presentation highlighting the history , present activities and the achievements of Braithwaite were given and Mr Purushothaman spoke about the role of Engineers in nation building and the importance of World Engineering Day. The interaction between students, industry professionals with Braithwaite team were very interactive.
