New Delhi: IREDA would continue its efforts in raising funds from other sources and work towards the creation of Alternate Investment Fund (AIF) & Asset-Backed Securities (ABS)” said Shri Chintan Shah, Director (Technical) in a session on “Wind Power in India: The Decade Ahead” at 3rd RE-Invest.
Today at the last day of the virtual 3rd Global RE-INVEST Summit, Union Minister R K Singh said India's renewable energy growth is unparallel in the world with continuous support from states, asserting that renewables are becoming cheaper in the country.
"India has done exemplary work in the space of renewable energy and running the largest energy access expansion plan. We have connected every household, connected whole country into one integrated grid and we are the only G20 nation which has been able to keep the temperatures within 2 degrees by its actions," Singh said in a statement.
In the previous 4 years, India attracted USD 64 billion foreign investment in the Indian renewable industry and this is the most attractive investment destination in the world.
