Jai Prakash Dwivedi took over as Director- Technical of Western Coalfields
Shri. Dwivedi was working as General Manager (Coordination) at WCL Hqrs in Nagpur before he took over as DT, WCL.
New Delhi: Shri. Jai Prakash Dwivedi has taken over as the Director - Technical of one of the eight Subsidiary Companies of Coal India Limited, Western Coalfields Ltd. (WCL). A mining engineer from IIT-BHU, Varanasi, Has over 35 years of experience in opencast and underground mining and has worked in SECL, ECL, and NCL in various capacities.
Shri. Dwivedi was working as General Manager (Coordination) at WCL Hqrs in Nagpur before he took over as DT, WCL.
WCL is a major source of supplies of coal to the industries located in Western India in the States of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and also in Southern India in the States of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. A large numbers of Power Houses under Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh - Electricity Boards are major consumers of its coal along with cement, steel, chemical, fertilizer, paper and brick Industries in these states.
