KIOCL celebrates Constitution Day

New Delhi: KIOCL celebrated Constitution Day at Corporate Office, Bengaluru to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. The Union Cabinet decided to establish 26th November as Constitution Day in
the year 2015 which marked the 125th birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar, the Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Constitution.

The program began with floral tributes to the bust of Dr BR Ambedkar by Shri T Saminathan, CMD, Shri Binay Krushna Mahapatra, D(C), Shri Manoj Kumar Jhawar, D(F), Shri GV Kiran, D (P&P), Shri SVR Chandra Sekhar, CVO, Sr officers and all employees.

Preamble was read in English by Shri T Saminathan, CMD, Shri Binay Krushna Mahapatra, D(C) in Hindi and Kannada by Shri Anil Kumar, CGM (CP&TS). CMD addressed the gathering on the importance & significance of the Constitution in the Indian context and the contribution of Dr BR Ambedkar in drafting the Constitution. He stressed that it is the duty of every citizen to read the book on Constitution and know their constitutional rights. Booklets on Constitution of India was distributed to all present.
