Mangaluru International Airport got level-3 accreditation from Airport Council International

The Mangaluru International Airport has received the prestigious level-3 airport customer experience accreditation from the Airports Council International.

The accreditation is issued by the ACI on 2 February and is valid for one year. The last level-2 accreditation was received in December 2022. The felicitation achievement aims to further strengthen the continued endeavor of this public asset to ensure a seamless customer experience. The airports that participate in this process undergo a comprehensive assessment and training that includes stakeholder-employee engagement and staff development.

The accreditation program in the airport industry worldwide provides a 360-degree view of customer experience management and MIA is notably the first airport in India under the 5 million passenger category to reach this coveted milestone. The airport industry is now setting its sights on level 4 of the accreditation which mandates airport-community collaboration.

The level-3 accreditation is responsive to providing the airport domain with advanced practices in the specific domain of service design and innovation, airport culture, governance, operation improvement, measurement, customer understanding, and strategy.
