Why Murali Ramakrishnan denied reappointment as South Indian Bank MD & CEO; Read Here
The bank's Search Committee will identify and evaluate the suitable candidates for the position.
New Delhi: South Indian Bank in its meeting held on March 28, 2023 informed that the company's board has taken up the request of Mr. Murali Ramakrishnan to not take himself for the reappointment of bank's Managing Director an CEO.
It is said that, The Board of Directors of the Bank, in their meeting held on March 28, 2023, considered the request of Mr. Murali Ramakrishnan, Managing Director & CEO, not to offer himself for re-appointment.
The current tenure of Ramakrishnan is up to September 30, 2023.
The reason behind his not taking up the charge again is the personal reasons/family circumstances.
However the Search Committee will identify and evaluate the suitable candidates for the position.
About Murali Ramakrishnan :
Mr. Ramakrishnan as the Managing Director and CEO of the South Indian bank was appointed on October 1 2020. In the Pandemic days he headed the bank very wisely. He joined the bank after retiring from ICICI Bank as Senior General Manager at Strategic Project Group on May 30, 2020.
He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Finance and Marketing from IIM – Bangalore and has 34 years of work experience.
