NALCO celebrates Senior Citizens Week
Bhubaneswar: “The founding architects of NALCO and Nalconians have not only paved way for the establishment of this Navratna entity through their visionary outlook and hard work but they have always been a source of inspiration and guiding spirit for us. Their guidance and blessings have always been with us to achieve new level of success,” said Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO). He said this while addressing a programme ‘Hamesha Nalconian’, organized in Bhubaneswar on 7th October 2017 as part of the Senior Citizens’ Week celebration. “NALCO salutes its seniors and stalwarts for their contribution and is always with them,” added Dr. Chand.
A Mobile APP namely ‘Hamesha Nalconian’ and a webpage especially designed for the former Nalconians were launched during the programme. It may be mentioned that NALCO has joined the Nation in observing the Senior Citizens Week, with the celebrations held across the country and organized different programmes at its sites and offices. Ex-employees, including former CMDs and Directors of the company graced the occasion in a large number and participated in the programme with a great spirit. A programme on yoga and lifestyle was organized on the occasion. A vibrant cultural programme enthralled the audience.
