New Delhi, August 23, 2022: Leading Indian Public Sector Company National Fertilizers Limited manufactures chemical fertilizers, organic fertilizers and industrial chemicals complete its 48 glorious years today on August 23, 2022.
NFL was the second largest producer of fertilizers in India as of 2018. The Miniratna (Category-1) company was incorporated in 1974 and is the largest government-owned fertilizer company with a turnover of over Rs. 75 billion.
The PSU has five gas-based ammonia-urea plants viz Nangal and Bathinda in Punjab, Panipat in Haryana, and two at Vijaipur (Madhya Pradesh).
The company was also engaged in the agreement for a joint venture company "Ramagundam Fertilizers And Chemicals Limited" back in 2015 for setting up new ammonia and urea plants of 2200 MT per day and 3850 MT per day capacity respectively at the existing site of Ramagundam Fertilizer Plant in District. Ramagundam in Telangana.
NFL in 2022-23 Financial year reported a Profit Before Tax of Rs 163 crore on a consolidated basis in June quarter with best-ever revenue of Rs 6454.65 crores. Also, the company touches new heights of 15.58 lakh MT in June.
