Singrauli: NCL organized a webinar on ‘COVID 19 and the precautions to be taken to deal with the pandemic’ on Wednesday. CMD and Functional Directors of NCL attended the webinar addressed by Dr. Rajeev Rathi, Director, and Head of the Trans-Radial Interventional Program at Max Hospital Saket New Delhi. The program was an initiative of the HRD Department for online/web-based seminar and training programs under the guidance of Director (Personnel) Shri Bimlendu Kumar, employees from all areas and departments were connected and made health interaction.
NLC India Limited (NLC) (formerly Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited) is a 'Navratna' government of India company in the fossil fuel mining sector in India and thermal power generation. It annually produces about 30 million tonne lignite from opencast mines at Neyveli in the state of Tamil Nadu in southern India and at Barsingsar in Bikaner district of Rajasthan state.
Company is presently operating three open cast lignite Mines at Neyveli in the State of Tamil Nadu and one opencast lignite Mine at Barsingsar in the State of Rajasthan. The total mining capacity of all the mines is 30.60 MTPA. The total overburden (OB) removal of 1708.94 Lakh Cubic Metre (LM3) and Lignite Production of 242.49 Lakh Tonne (LT) has been achieved during the year 2018-19.
