NHPC organized Mega Health Care Camps; Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union MoS (Independent charge) inaugurates the event
These camps are being organized in association with NGO - Sahara Health & Development Society under CSR.
New Delhi: Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon'ble Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Earth Sciences and Science & Technology, Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space & Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC inaugurated the Mega Health Care Camps organized by NHPC Ltd. on 09.10.2021 under its CSR scheme at various remote villages of Doda district.
These camps are being organized in association with NGO - Sahara Health & Development Society under CSR. These Camps will continue till January 2022 and about 3000 local people of 20 far-flung villages under 04 blocks area of Doda district shall get benefitted. During the camp, a general Health Checkup will be provided and any disease shall be referred for further treatment.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC said that NHPC is undertaking many welfare schemes under CSR in various fields as health, education, and infrastructure, etc. The health care camps are being organized under the guidance of the Hon'ble Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) and is a strong step taken in building a healthy India.
In his address, Hon'ble Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the government is sensitive towards the health of the people. He added that since the Fit India campaign has been launched, people are being made more health-conscious. He further said that the health check-up being undertaken through such camps will help in achieving good health for the people.
The Hon'ble Union MoS (IC) also spoke about the ongoing projects of NHPC in UT of J&K and said that in the coming time, J&K is going to become a power hub of power generation with the completion of these projects. He added that the projects are providing employment to the local and will lead to the development of the area. He further appreciated the work being done by NHPC. The local citizens expressed happiness on the organizing of the health care camp and hoped that such camps would bring a qualitative improvement in the health of the common masses.
