NHPC places India`s biggest Stator Assembly Unit in generator pit
Subansiri Lower HE Project is the biggest hydroelectric project undertaken in India so far and is a run of river scheme on the river Subansiri
New Delhi: The Stator assembly of Unit 1 (395 Ton weight and 11.50 mtr bore diameter) of Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project (8x 250 MW) has been successfully placed in the generator pit. It's the biggest unit in India in respect of size and capacity.
Subansiri Lower HE Project is the biggest hydroelectric project undertaken in India so far and is a run of river scheme on the river Subansiri. The Project is located in Lower Subansiri in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam with a capacity of 2000 MW (8x250 MW). The nearest railhead is Nagaon and the nearest airport is Lilabari / Dibrugarh. The estimated annual energy generation from the Project is 7421 MU in a 90% dependable year.
